On August 7, 2011 the separate provisions of the Ukrainian Law “On Public Land Cadastre” No. 3613-VI dated July 7, 2011 (hereinafter – “the Law”) entered into force. The whole text of the Law will become effective since January 1, 2012.
The abovementioned Law regulates the procedure of keeping the Public Land Cadastre, in particular sets forth the reasons and basic requirements towards insertion of data into the Land Cadastre, and prescribes the procedure of state registration of a land plot. Besides, the Law provides for the guarantees of the Land Cadastre authentic keeping as well as the responsibilities regarding the Public Land Cadastre.
The Public Land Cadastre’s holder under paragraph 2, article 6 of the Law will be the central executive authority on land resources.
Pursuant to article 15 of the Law, the Public Land Cadastre shall contain the following data about a land plot: cadastre number, locality; description of boundaries; area; data about quality of land and valuation of soils; data about other Public Land Cadastre objects which territory includes (wholly or in part) the land plot; destination of a land plot; information about limitations in use of land plots; normative monetary evaluation; information about the land management documentation and land plot evaluation as well as other documents which may contribute into the data about the land plot.
The information contained in the Public Land Cadastre shall be partially shared at the official website of the central executive authority on land resources.
Still, the main innovation of this Law which has been anticipated by many Ukrainian citizens is the strict regulation of the procedure of a land plot state registration.
